Evidence · sources, freshness and original work
Keep the rule, date and result together.
A rule is useful only when its source and context remain attached. This local edition separates historical rule evidence, original educational material and unverified current applicability.
Where the archived rules come from
The three profiles were inherited unchanged from production 000377. The event requirement cards show the official source links, event/year/session, rule strength and exceptions for CVPR main/Findings, CVPR workshop and UAB EJMPEAS student posters.
Those references were reviewed on . No fresh source request was made for this content slice. The editorial date of does not renew the source date. Future profiles need their own official context and verification before any current-use claim.
How to read PASS, FAIL and UNKNOWN
| State | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| PASS | The named supported check meets its bounded archived condition. | Current event applicability, complete artwork quality or acceptance. |
| FAIL | A definite context conflict or applicable bounded mismatch exists. | A universal rejection of the research or conference submission. |
| UNKNOWN | Evidence or reliable inspection is insufficient for that claim. | Permission to treat a missing rule as passed. |
The overall result keeps any definite applicable FAIL. Otherwise unresolved checks keep it UNKNOWN. Portrait recommendations, unspecified conditions and scaling exceptions retain their original strength. A missing source or profile never produces PASS.
Original material and its limits
The original layout and annotated example were created for this task with Codex assistance using local vector/text drawing commands. No university template or external artwork was copied. The example’s counts are entirely fictional and support no research claim.
Sources & Methodology — Available resources
The available resources include editable SVG files, companion PDFs, a provenance manifest, and editing notes. The internal generation code is retained in the development workspace and is not part of the downloadable website resources.
The layout is a teaching reference, not a current event template. The first Pilot has authorization to distribute the proven EIF-original PDF/SVG resources and educational previews free of charge, recorded 6 October 2026. PosterBeacon is the confirmed brand, and posterbeacon.com has been purchased. Contact: contact@posterbeacon.com. Bundled PDF libraries retain their upstream license files.
What was and was not tested
The finite inherited baseline contains three profiles, six synthetic PDF inputs and eleven cases. The production package records actual local build, browser, network and resource checks. It is not a real-user study, universal accessibility certificate, field-performance result or arbitrary-PDF accuracy guarantee. No fresh conference verification is implied.
Request a correction without disclosing a paper
To request a correction or report a broken resource, email contact@posterbeacon.com with the affected page or resource, the issue, and any relevant event, profile, official source URL and checked date. Do not attach your PDF, unpublished research or sensitive personal information. See About & corrections for reply limitations.
Freshness belongs to a specific claim
On , four exact official entry pages plus the IEEE VIS welcome redirect were reviewed. IEEE VIS has conflicting size wording; NeurIPS poster instructions are not ready. No current profile was promoted. Read each source, date and limitation.
The older CVPR/UAB source review remains dated 1 October. Editorial updates do not renew those rules. A change of official instructions, event year, availability or conflicting guidance triggers another source review; it does not automatically update the Checker. A source-body hash can change because of dynamic markup, so the factual change must be reviewed.
Distribution permission and provenance are different records
The original creation manifest and editing notes remain historical provenance. The later free-distribution authorization covers only the proven EIF-original files and associated previews; it does not license external source pages or vendor libraries. Resource-use notes explain the current boundary.
See the resource-use notes for the current permissions for downloads, local editing and completed posters, and the limits on standalone distribution of original EIF templates.
Generic preflight: what a measurement means
File size and dual-parser page count do not require an event. For up to 20 pages, MediaBox/CropBox intersection is independently compared with the PDF.js viewport. Rotation and UserUnit are normalized; explicit and default box values are labelled. Page-box nesting uses a 0.05-point numeric tolerance, not a printer acceptance allowance.
The font-program inventory checks page and nested Form resources, up to 128 fonts and resource dictionaries, depth 16. Supported Type1, TrueType and Type0/CIDFontType2 resources are checked for a nonempty decoded FontFile or FontFile2 stream. Unsupported Type3/CFF, patterns, graphics-state resources, annotations, AcroForm and ambiguous structures remain UNKNOWN. RISK identifies a definite missing program in a supported resource; fonts may be unused. PASS does not validate font bytes, glyph coverage, licensing or visual output.
Effective image DPI, readability, artwork bleed/safe margins and color proof remain UNKNOWN. AI and design tools may create the poster; this service inspects the final PDF and explains limits. It does not generate a poster. Downloading a text report is optional and user initiated.
